I can appreciate the sentiment of "Minnesota Nice", but I recently witnessed it cause some frustration — and nearly an accident, on two occasions.

MnDOT says that since 1960, 35 MnDOT workers and 16 contractors have lost their lives while working on Minnesota highways.

It depends on who you ask but you may be breaking the law or you may be exercising your right to free speech. What?

These messages on the highways from the Minnesota Department of Transportation could really only exist here in Minnesota, don't ya know.
