There's been an increase to calls to poison centers related to exposure to wild mushrooms. This summer's weather is partly to blame. Here's how to keep you and your kids safe.

In all my life, I've never found myself in the situation where I needed to call poison control.  I figured if I did it would always be because one of my kids ingested something they shouldn't,  not because of my own tired stupidity.

If you've used detergent packets, you know how handy they can be.  You probably also know how dangerous they can be to children who mistake them for some type of treat.  At my house, I purposely put our packets up high because I thought the packaging and friendly smell could lead to an accidental poisoning with my kids.  Thankfully, legislators have recognized this problem and changes will be made
