All week long the 'Our Town' feature has focused on the great city of Hermantown.  We've learned interesting facts about the city, revisited some sports highlights and more.  Now it's time to sit down and talk to the man who in charge of this growing city.

B105 started the 'Our Town' feature this week by saluting Hermantown. In honor of that, let's go back to 2007 when the Hermantown Hawks won their first Class A Minnesota State High School Championship in what was a perfect season.

We are learning a lot about the city of Hermantown this week including a new song, now it's time to learn some more. Specially prepared for the 'Our Town' feature, the Hermantown Historical Society shares more fun facts about Hermantown.

Welcome open arms, the community of Hermantown welcomes you.  I've heard this, but found it to be true, when I contacted the Hermantown History Center to gather information for this blog.  So informative, so willing to share their information and so interesting.  I hope my blog will peak your interest to explore the Hermantown History Center for yourself, some day soon!

You know that Montgomery Gentry song, My Town?  Well it was the inspiration behind our song about Hermantown.  I rewrote the lyrics to make it apply to Hermantown, and I hope it makes the town proud.  Excuse the singing, we are not quitting our day job.

Each week the B105 staff will team up for 'Our Town' an online feature where the spotlight will be put on one Northland community. The first 'Our Town' is Hermantown, officially incorporated in 1975 Hermantown has a rich history that started more than 100 years earlier.
