NCAA Mens Hockey

The opponent the UMD Bulldogs will face in the first game of the Frozen Four will be shorthanded a couple of big names due to COVID-19.

The UMD Bulldogs men's hockey team is competing in the NCAA tournament for their sixth year in a row, and they just advanced without even playing a game.

The UMD Bulldogs have officially earned the chance to play for their third consecutive national championship. Their quest begins in Fargo.

For the three straight years, Coach Scott Sandelin has been named as one of 10 finalists for the prestigious Spencer Penrose Award.

The UMD Men's Hockey team will have the 2018 National Championship Trophy at the UMD Stores this Thursday, October 4 for display and pictures.

I was a goal off on my 3-1 prediction, but UMD finished off their post season run by defeating Michigan 3-2 on a pretty OT goal.  What an amazing finish to the season as our Bulldogs bring home a national championship.
