Navy Week is being celebrated right now! This week long event is something that the Navy has been doing since 2005. My most memorable Navy Week was when Andy Baldwin (a former bachelor contestant who is also a Navy doctor came to town). ;) This year, members of the USS Minnesota will be in the Northland to give us insight to what it is they do and what the Navy is all about.
A few months ago I had mentioned that an anchor was going to be transported from Texas to it's home in Duluth. It was sitting in a scrap yard, how sad! The anchor will now have a dignified final resting place. In order for it to be placed on the Lakewalk they need to temporarily close a portion of it.
