The University of Minnesota Duluth shared its new design for its official Bulldog mascot named Champ, and the reaction from the public has been trending in one clear direction, negative.

Being a mascot is a super tough and thankless job! Just ask The Kenosha Kings baseball mascot.

I wish I could sew.  I did not make my Wrenshall School Home Economics teacher, Mrs. Urbanski proud.  I spent more time ripping than I did sewing.  I should have the skills, my grandmother could sew anything and without a pattern!  CHUM has a huge community event every year and are in need of a volunteer that can sew.  Is that you?

Today Cathy was talking about the Maroon Loon mascot that use to skate back in the day with UMD Bulldogs.  I had never heard about it, but we did have some listeners call up and say they remember him.  His name was Jay Jackson, and here's a YouTube video I found of him.

This certainly isn't the way nature intended it. A teenager who may or may not still be wearing a banana suit is at large after an unprovoked assault on the gorilla mascot that a Verizon Wireless Center in Strongsville, Ohio employs to promote its store.
