The event is scheduled for Feb. 20-22, and described it as “a mid-winter celebration in a great little town.”

Our Payday Party won't just be full of prizes, but we'll have live music too!

The weather was perfect, the crowd was decent, the music was great, the show delivery was just...different.

Some big names and local favorites will be playing the gig this year.

The shows will take place every Thursday night for the month with food, craft beer and local talent.

It all started when we asked for open nominations for the best musical act in the Northland.  We said it could be a band, a duo, a singer/songwriter, etc. After getting hundreds of nominees, the 5 talented artists who received the most were moved into the finals.  It turns out they were all bands and after several weeks of voting, we have a winner.

You can see by the picture that Grandma's Big Top Tent is THE PLACE TO BE for the kick-off party AND after the racing has been completed and it's time to celebrate.  You won't want to miss the line-up this year and there is limited capacity so grab your friends, make your plans and get your tickets now!

I have attended my share of concerts in my 18 years in the broadcast industry.  Garth Brooks will go down in MY history as my favorite.  I was in awe of this man that could connect with every single person in the 20,500 seat venue and make it feel like you and he were ole' friends hanging out.

After enjoying a day of high octane fun at Barker's Island for the Superior Watercross Shootout, race on over to the Keyport Lounge for the official after party.

This morning we interviewed Bob Gustafson from Grandma's Marathon and talked about events that will take place next week.  We got more information about Michelina's all you can eat spaghetti dinner, the whipper snapper races, and live entertainment at the tents!
