I was a shockingly disturbing video that was going around Facebook yesterday.  A ridiculous amount of drivers fail to stop for school buses when their sign is extended. They even show some close calls too.  It is the law to stop for school buses with their lights flashing.

Minnesota lawmakers are considering to put an end to snow days.  Most students, parents and teachers alike are probably shaking their heads.  But, it's not what you think, students won't be expected to brave the harsh elements, there's another plan in place and here's why I don't think it will work.

When I was a child seat belts, car seats or restraints for a child in a moving vehicle were nonexistent. I remember standing between my parents on the bench seat of the gas guzzling Chrysler as a toddler. When my daughter was young she could still sit in the front seat with me because cars weren’t all equipped with air bags. As time went on they became more strict until where we are today. Infant

As we were traveling down 27th Avenue West my husband pointed to one of the entrances of the Lake Superior Hiking Trail because he noticed someone had dumped their old furniture there.  I made him turn around to get a picture because it shocks and amazes me that some people are so inconsiderate and experience no guilt.

People have been binge watching Netflix's new documentary 'Making A Murderer.'    It's a very controversial case, and it now has a direct connection to Superior.  Warning, could be some SPOILERS ahead.

Racine Wisconsin Senator Van Wanggaard is introducing a bill to repeal the 48 hour waiting period for people buying a handgun.  His reason is that background checks are instant now, and don't require extra time to see if a person can legally purchase a handgun.  People in favor of the waiting period say it's a good cooling down period.  But, does that make sense?

Talk about a sense of entitlement!   This 18 year old girl was kicked out of the house for not following rules by her parents, and now she is suing them to pay for her college.

The Minnesota Legislature has just passed a bill to help correct the state's huge deficit.  The bill includes a $2.83 per pack tax on cigarettes, along with a one time floor stock tax on cigarettes.  This is an increase of $1.60 per pack of smokes.

Chances are that no matter what happens to Jimmy Wayne in the coming weeks, he will remain with a smile on his face and in the grandest of moods. Earlier this month, Wayne was sitting front and center in a Tennessee board room when the news was revealed that a new bill he was fighting for — one which supports foster children — had passed congress.

While this originated in California, had it passed it could have been the start of a national trend.  While I am not in favor of letting kids play violent video games at all, I do think that government should allow parents to due their part and play a role in their kids lives...
