I've had a crack in my garage floor since we bought the house 6 years ago. It wasn't a bad crack at first, but each year it widened a bit. It was finally time to do something, but there are so many different products out there to try.
This last week we decided to rip up our old nasty carpet on the upstairs floor of our house, and refinish the hardwood flooring that was underneath. We knew there was hardwood floor underneath after we peaked under the carpet in the closet. What you never know until you take it all out is what kind of shape it is in general. I made a few mistakes that I'll tell you about, but for the most part
Old houses are pretty cool! They have lots of character, they have stood the test of time, and many people buy them every year. If you live in a house built in the late 19th century, or early 20th century than you no doubt have dealt with these things.
Many people have a room in their house that has that hideous wood paneling in it. At one point, people must have thought this looked good, because back in the 70's everyone was doing it. Now, it's out of style and you want to get rid of it.
