Hibbing

A group of kids say a man pulled up to the bus stop and asked the kids to get in his mini van this morning. Hibbing Police are asking for help identifying the vehicle.

A level 3 sex offended will be relocating to Hibbing, Minnesota on Friday and a public notification meeting has been scheduled.

With the 45th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the St. Louis Blues selected UMD Bulldog and Hibbing native Scott Perunovich.

If we are honest, some people are miffed at Bob Dylan for his lack of luster for the cities he was born and grew up in.  He was born at then, St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth now known as Essentia and grew up on the Iron Range in the town of Hibbing.  However, there are many that admire his music, are true fans and are thrilled that he recently won a Nobel Prize in Literature.  A group on the Range w

Congrats to Two Harbors, MN.  It's the only city in our Northland area to be in the top 50 on the list of safest places to live in Minnesota.  A couple other cities made the top 100 as well that are in our listening area.

I'm not offended if someone calls me a redneck, especially when it comes to this guy's criteria.  I shop at Walmart.  I hunt and fish.  I drive a truck.  I guess that makes me a redneck, but at least I can tell the general region of these towns on a map.

The Salvation Army locations across the Northland have their sites set on the upcoming holidays, but that hasn't stopped the Hibbing Salvation Army office from being stellar and earning an award from the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Congratulations!

Last night I got a emergency text that several Iron Range firefighters were battling a fire that was in progress at the Hibbing Park Hotel.  I immediately contacted my friend Don, who is a photographer, to check it out.

A semi truck carrying ammonium nitrate, a highly explosive chemical used in mining, overturned this morning near Hibbing Taconite.  A mile wide evacuation effort was originally in place, but the tanker appears to not be leaking any of the chemical, just hydraulic fluid.

I just wanted to take a moment to say happy birthday to Bob Dylan, who today turns 71 years old today.  We were talking about this at the office, and started asking questions about why he won't come back.
