Another change is in store for what was once Gander Mountain in Hermantown.

Only a couple years after the re-branding and restructuring of Gander Mountain to Gander Outdoors, the company is closing a number of stores across the country.

Newly-rebranded Gander Outdoors, formerly Gander Mountain, is preparing to open with a new name, logo, and strategy in the outdoor retail landscape. Here's what we know about when the Duluth area store will be opening.

If you've been driving near Gander Mountain in Hermantown, you've seen the signs saying that all store merchandise is being sold off at a discount and that the store is closing.  As it turns out, that's only partially true.

If you've watched CNBC's show 'The Profit,' you already know this guy.  His name is Marcus Lemonis, and he's just purchased the struggling Gander Mountain company, along with it's Overton's boating company.  While no formal plans have been made, he said they will only keep profitable stores open.  That could mean that half ot the Gander Mountain locations could close.

It looks like the Gander Mountain in Hermantown is not one of the 32 stores that are closing as the company is filing for bankruptcy protection.
