The City of Duluth has announced that the inaugural 'Cold Front Celebration' will take place this winter.

If you're looking for a beautiful getaway this weekend, take the drive to Oshkosh for the 9th Annual Oshkosh Oktoberfest. Festivities kickoff at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, October 7, at Opera House Square with the Annual Running of the Wiener Dogs!

There was some buzz this last week about a music festival in the Bahamas that went terribly wrong.  Basically, it was a cheap festival that attracted a lot of young people to go see some big acts.  However, the acts never showed up.  They all cancelled.  It was promised to be a luxury vacation, but in fact turned out to be a fight for survival.

WE Fest 2017 has added Eli Young Band, Michael Ray, RaeLynn and Logan Brill to the bill, completing the lineup for an exciting three-day roster of the top acts in country music.

I took my family up to Laskiainen Festival in Palo, MN this weekend.  Laskiainen (lus-key-eye-nen) is a Finnish celebration of the changing seasons.  Locally, there is a celebration every year in Palo, and this was actually our first time going.   We were excited to try out the sliding hill!  When we go there, it was a little more intense than we imagined.

The Tall Ship Festival is coming to Duluth this weekend, and it's expected to generate $15 million for the local economy.  However, it appears that one ship will no longer be making the trip.
