In some countries they don't have the opportunity to cast a vote.  In our country, we do.  However, many don't vote for various reasons.  Some don't think they know the candidates well enough, some claim they aren't familiar with the issues, still others just can't get to the polls.  The Duluth Transit Authority has a solution to that problem.

I think this is one of those years where it is confusing as to what each candidate stands for, what they are running on and who they are opposing. Most of the ads I see are telling you what the other does wrong. If I believe them, no one deserves to be in office.

I remember when I turned 18, I thought voting for the first time was a big deal, and I've  continued voting as I don't take that right lightly.  The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State has launched a "Now Say It" campaign, encouraging high school seniors to register to vote.

If you've been in Hermantown, you've seen the 'Hawk Pride' signs, which were gathering support for a referendum that would raise taxes to help build a new high school, upgrade school safety and turn the current high school into a middle school.

The much talked about amendment will go to the public polls in November, but St. Louis Country commissioners made an early stand and voted 4-3 to oppose the marriage amendment.

In some cases people would like to vote, but are unaware of where to go.  Also some voters apparently get confused enough that there needs to be a sample ballot.  There is a very useful website that can help people find their nearest location and view a sample ballot for whichever election may be coming up in Wisconsin.

Today I went and voted in the WI Recall Primaries.  This was my first time voting in a few years, but seeing that I've finally settled down, picked my home, and decided to get more politically active I went out to vote.  I was surprised that at 3:30 PM there was a line at my polling place.  There was a steady line from the time I arrived to well after I left.  (I drove by again after running erran
