That Mountain Lion that was spotted roaming around Minneapolis earlier this month will now be on display for the public to see.

There's been a handful of cougar sightings in Minnesota, but the DNR says it's still very rare and they aren't breeding in the state.

Before Monday, there has been only one instance of a cougar captured on camera in Hennepin County since 2004.

Multiple Northlanders have recently reported sightings, with two different recent sightings captured on video.

An animal was spotted early in the morning in West Duluth. A photo was taken and people are wondering what it is. I asked the DNR.

People on the North Shore have reported some sightings of cougars, also known as mountain lions. Sightings are rare, but seem to be trending upward in recent years.

Trail cams caught the sneaky animal.

Recently a cougar was spotted in a field, and Dodge County Sheriff's Department posted on Facebook a warning to stay away from the animals and what to do if you encounter one.

This time of year brings a unique opportunity to Northlanders to see what exactly is out in those great woods of ours.  Hunters have their trail cameras set up to spot game that could be in the area, but sometimes they spot more than they bargained for.  For example, there have been 2 cougars (mountain lions) spotted in Northern Wisconsin recently.
