Not cookies!

The Minnesota State Fair starts Thursday, and one of the big draws every year is Sweet Martha's Cookie Jar. Before you enjoy the treats, take a behind the scenes tour of their slick fair setup.

Oreo has a new contest out with some new flavors to try. We taste tested the new Pina Colada flavor first, then the Cherry Cola Oreos.

We are kinda nuts about Oreos.  I saw this on the shelf and though, "We gotta try this!"  Here's what we thought.

Today our friend Joe stopped by and dropped off some product for us to try.  Red Velvet Oreos!  This is the first I've heard of them.  How would they taste?  FANTASTIC!

When I was young I did what most other kids did, I pulled the ole' Oreo apart and scraped the creme off with my teeth before dunking the crisp chocolate cookie in a glass of milk. (Oreo ice cream/shakes weren't around yet)!  As I got older, my taste changed and I started to like to eat my Oreo as a whole.  Apparently this incredibly intelligent man's taste hasn't changed, so he took his talent as

We love Girl Scout Cookie season in the Northland.  Our local Girl Scouts do such a great job of making them available and they freeze very well!   We all have our favorite, mine is the..actually, I have three:  Tag-a-longs (peanut butter patties), Thin Mints and Carmel DeLites (samoas).  But, you may be interested to know there is a new cookie being introduced in 2013 that boasts "nutrients

These "cookies" (truffles) are AMAZING!! AND EASY!!!   Only three ingredients and absolutely delicious.  Note:  You can dip in white chocolate too, so you have an array of colors on your platter.   Decorate with colored sprinkles...let me know what you think!!!

Arguably the best part about making cookies during the holidays is getting a sneak spoonful of the raw dough before it goes in the oven. Like with tons of other great-tasting grub, however, it’s so not good for us. In fact, two years ago, 77 people in 30 states became ill from doing just that.

In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Week (I think there's a week for everything!), I thought it would be fun to figure out what type of person you are by the type of cookie you love the most.  Luckily,  family therapist Jim Franklin has spent time mapping this all out for us.
