cold weather

It was Friday night and Denfeld was taking on East at their new field.  I was going to spend the evening outside with the outstanding Denfeld Cheer Team and knew I needed to dress warm.  I didn't realize exactly how many layers of clothing I was sporting until I started to take count while removing them.  Can you guess?

Well, here we go again.  After a day with some snow, we get prepared for another deep freeze.  Since we've made it this far I would like to challenge Mother Nature to keep pouring it on, so we can say we made it through the worst winter in history.

The cold temps have taken a toll on us.  A propane shortage, lost PTO time because you had to stay home with the kids.  The kids home because school was cancelled and may now have to attend school longer in June.  Worried?  There is help for those that qualify for both MN and WI.

I haven't done this since I was a kid, but I thought we would try it again.  Also you can see it happen in slow motion, which is pretty comical.  Check out what happens!

With record cold temperatures gripping much of the country this week, it's safe to say most folks are spending their time indoors. But the chill didn't stop these intrepid amateur scientists on YouTube, who took advantage of the frigid cold test the effects of the bitter cold on a soap bubble. The result? It's pretty cool.
