As we awaited news on whether Duluth's JC Penney will be closing.   We heard that another national company, Outback Steakhouse, would be closing some of their locations and wondered if our local Outback restaurant was on the "chopping block".  We were contacted by the parent company, Bloomin' Brands and we have the answer!

4th Street Market Closes
News broke yesterday that Duluth's 4th Street Market is closing its doors after being evicted by the building owners.   They quit paying rent months ago due to a conflict with the owners about repairs needed to the building.  A court date has been set, but for the time being the market is closed leaving many low income residents in the hillside area without a place to get their groceries.
