The Squash Hunger campaign, presented by Minnesota FoodShare and CHUM, is in the home stretch and more donations are needed to hit their goal to raise $110,000 and collect 31,000 pounds of food to stock three food shelves that provide food for 500 Duluth households each month.
Today, Wednesday, October 4, is the annual Pumpkin Pie Day at the Coppertop Church, located at 230 E Skyline Parkway. From 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., the public is invited to purchase a freshly baked pie.
It's the season for scares aboard the William A. Irvin Haunted Ship and at the Haunted Shack at the Buffalo House. If you go to these fun attractions, make sure you bring a non-perishable food item to not only save money, but to help fight hunger in the Northland,
