My husband lost his father when he was 32 years old.  He has a few pictures, tools and lots of memories, but this Christmas his sister Lisa gave him a gift that showed her creative talents and will be cherished every Christmas for years to come.  Before you read further look closely at the pictures, can you tell what they're made from?

Ken and I have always volunteered to wrap gifts at the Salvation Army gift wrap booth at the mall.  We volunteer, we didn't say we were good at it.  In fact, we pretty much have anxiety all day, wait for days before we're scheduled.  But, this video may just change the anxiety to anticipation!

Over the last few years, the concept of online holiday shopping has exploded into the mainstream. Millions of online shoppers find hot deals on "Cyber Monday" and through the entire holiday shopping season, but how do you keep nosey kids or a significant other from discovering what you bought them?

I love DIY crafts, even though my craft skills resemble that of a 2nd grader.  It's fun to get a group of gals together and chat while being productive.  I've been following Alejandra and her organizational videos.  When I saw this simple yet darling craft she made, I had to share.  She mentions tie your gift cards to them so you're not just handing over an envelope.  Genius!

Ken and I don't claim to be the best gift wrappers in the Northland, but we have my daughter Kylee with us, so bring your gifts to the Salvation Army Gift Wrapping Booth on Thursday, December 13 and let us wrap them!  We'll be giving you the gift of time, while your donation will give gifts to needy families this Christmas.  Hey, maybe YOU can wrap and would like to volunteer!

This year for Christmas, Cathy bought something she knew I would love:  A toothbrush sanitizer.  It's the prefect gift for any germaphobe in your life. UV rays kill 99.9% of germs on the toothbrush after only 7 minutes.  I'll definitely be using it and I will double the amount of time I blast the toothbrush with UV rays to be sure...
