Last night was the Christmas City of the North Parade, and as usual it was a pretty cold night.   Temperatures steady dropped from about 20 degrees at the start to about 15 degrees at the end.   Add on top of that the windchill, and it made it a pretty bone chilling night, especially when you're driving a vintage hot rod with no windows and no heat.

The Christmas City of the North Parade is tonight, and the whole town is buzzing with excitement.   We love the "Christmas City" song (recorded by Merv Griffin).  I wanted to see if we could sing it together.  Well, hear it for yourself.

Having grown up in the Northland, Christmas City of the North Parade has been a holiday tradition since I can remember.  We'd gather around the TV and watch the parade go through Duluth.  That was back when I considered Duluth a "big city" and would love to drive through downtown at night so I could see all the lights as a kid.  You might laugh, but as a kid growing up in Biwabik MN, Dul

Hard to believe that the Christmas City Of The North Parade is coming up on Friday already.  The parade will take the same downtown Duluth route it's taken the past several years, which will lead to some changes in traffic and bus routes.
