Many people were excited to have Pope Francis in the United States.  There was a lot of preparation before he arrived and fanfare when he did.  I understood that, but some of the souvenirs of the Pope's visit has me scratchin' my noodle.

I was an altar boy at a Roman Catholic Church for several years.  In that amount of time I met and served with many priests that came through our town.  Some would come and talk about mission work they were doing.  Others would fill in for a time when our church was in between a Priest.  As an altar boy, we were constantly urged to consider becoming a priest ourselves from these traveling clergyme

Here we go again, a bunch of men arguing over what is best for women and using religion for political power. Republicans vowed Wednesday to reverse President Barack Obama's new policy on birth control, lambasting the rule that religious schools and hospitals must provide contraceptive coverage for their employees as an "unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country."
