It’s smack dab in the middle of grilling season and you have probably exhausted all your family favorites, steak, shrimp, chicken breasts and pork. I have seen lots of different recipes for tin foil dinners on the grill and have always wanted to try one while we were camping. This is the recipe we chose this past weekend. It was easy and I used pre-cooked grilled chicken for ease and food safety.
We were camping over the Memorial Weekend with friends and they told us to bring eggs and our favorite ingredients for omelettes, we were going to make Omelettes In A Bag. What???? First time for everything, right? It was easy and phenomenal! It’s early enough in the season that you can give this a shot, I guarantee you’ll be doing it more than once, I know we will!
It's hard to beat a nice backyard campfire this time of year. The weather is perfect to bundle up just enough, make a favorite warm drink and get out all you need to make s'mores. That being said, it's also important to put safety first.
We camped over Mother's Day weekend. It was cold and VERY windy, so we didn't get a chance to build a fire, but our next time out, you can bet we're going to build our campfire and make campfire cones. This is guaranteed to "spark" family memories to talk about around the Thanksgiving table for years to come.
THERE ARE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS IN THESE S'MORES!!! Need I say "smore"? I am SOOOOO going to try this during our 4th of July camping trip...(shhh, not telling anyone else...), so when they whip out their ingredients to make the usual s'mores...I'm going to secretly whip these up and BAM! Knock their socks off! And, it's easy....they only thing I'll have to worry about.....is rain!
