After the feet of snowpack we've had this winter, a lot of us were hoping for a gradual melting.  Well, yesterday in the Northland we had temperatures well into the 50s, and instant rivers and streams forming.  Unfortunately, some of those were in our basements, as you can see in Cathy's picture here.

Today we are forecasted to reach the upper 40's, but I think we are all holding our breath that it will stick around.   On a related note, did you remember to turn your clocks forward?  We recommend that you don't use a rolling chair like Cathy did here to change your clocks... Smh (shaking my head.)

Morning!  Ken has the day off.  It's the week of Dr. Suess' birthday (born March 2) .  I'm excited to celebrate his birthday with the kids of Willow River.  I'll be reading two of Dr. Seuss' classic to a couple of classes, looking forward to it!

Good Morning!  Welcome to the Breakfast Club!  First off, Congrats to the Hawks who beat Luverne 6-3, and are advancing to play New Prague Friday at 11!  Also today Duluth East plays at 8 tonight!  And we shouldn't forget about Superior Spartans who are making their record 36th trip to the WI State tournament.  Good luck Spartans!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club today!   I'm back from being sick.  (Oof, bad stuff going around.) And Cathy's back from ice skating.   I guess the Olympics inspired her.  After 10 minutes her ankles were sore and she quit for the day.   That's probably better than I would do.

Wow, what a storm!  Main roads are plowed, but all the side streets and parking lots are relatively untouched as of 5:30 this morning.  This means it is very difficult to get around, and many cars are stuck.   Under the snow there is a layer of ice, making it even more treacherous.   Winds are blowing snow around and there are still whiteout conditions in some areas.   Stay home if you can.  Check
