Bob Dylan

From May 4 - 31st, you can see some incredible historical photographs, manuscripts and other memorabilia at Karpeles Manuscript Museum as they present Einstein Disguised as Robinhood-Bob Dylan an Exhibition.  These are from the William Pagel Archives.

There are many Bob Dylan fans in the Northland.  He's played in Duluth a couple of times, the most recent a foggy July day at Bayfront Festival Park.  At his concert here in 1999, he made reference to being born over the hill in Duluth and hoped it was still there sending the crowd into a frenzy.  His fame is world-wide and proof is in the huge mural in downtown Minneapolis.

Bob Dylan doesn't talk about his childhood much.  In fact if you look for it, you won't find too much, except for a short poem from 1962 called "My Life In A Stolen Moment."  With the excitement of Dylan coming to Duluth, where he was born, I wanted to find some truth in his own words of his complicated relationship with Northern MN.

I just wanted to take a moment to say happy birthday to Bob Dylan, who today turns 71 years old today.  We were talking about this at the office, and started asking questions about why he won't come back.
