Gladys lives less than two hours from the Duluth/Superior area and the goal is to have 100 cards sent to her. I bet we can do better in our community alone.

Georgie the Sloth is turning 21, that means it's time to celebrate at the Lake Superior Zoo.

I'd call Georgie cute (cuz I'm a mammal lover) until I see her nails.  She's in some serious need of a mani/pedi!  Especially because she has to look her best for her birthday party that you are invited to attend!

The City of Duluth is very good to it's Senior Citizens.  They're looking to honor Senior Citizens locally and in the surrounding area, who are reaching or have reached the young-at-heart age of 100 and beyond!

It was my birthday last Saturday and I was reminded every time I opened my email box.  It seems that lately my email box is filled with reward program offers, birthday club freebies and deals from businesses that can save me $$$.  I'm sure you do too, so let's swap info and save even more money.  These are the ones I have.

Cathy hates attention on her birthday, so naturally every year I make a big deal out of it.  Last night we had the Kenny Chesney / Jason Aldean ticket drop party at Timberlodge Steakhouse.  Cathy and her family and friends joined us to celebrate her birthday, and I made sure the staff sang to her.

It's Cathy's birthday, and I actually remembered to stop by and get her something last night!  I even wrapped it myself with non Christmas wrapping paper, which is a win for me.  (It was angry birds.)

Remember when you were a kid and you couldn't wait to grow up?  Getting older meant more freedom, and exciting new things.  Then one day that changes.  You start hoping time will slow down and the Birthdays keep coming faster and faster each year.   That's what today 31 feels like.  I blinked, and a year went by,  but then again a lot happened.

This is probably the nicest gift I've received from Cathy.  Much better than the cajun peanuts that made me sick that one year.
