Overwhelming Support For Minnesota Teen’s Firewood Business After Theft
An upsetting situation has turned into a positive feel-good story in Northern Minnesota. 14-year-old Jacob started his own firewood business. He cut, split, wrapped, and stacked the wood and left it out for sale on the honor system.
Unfortunately, some people take advantage of the honor system like these two people. Tim, the teen's father, posted a status update that went viral in Northern Minnesota and beyond. Two men were caught on camera taking bundles of firewood and leaving only a dollar. $1. That's it.
I saw it on multiple Facebook friends' pages and tracked down the dad to share his story. Tim said he was overwhelmed by how many people shared the post, and more importantly wanted to support Jacob. The post has over 1,000 shares. That's a lot.
Honestly this experience has been pretty amazing with the outreach of SO many people supporting my son. That has been the bright spot in this situation. There may be bad people but there are a lot more good people out there! We would like to thank everyone for the support and if they are in the cook/orr area Jacob would love to earn their business!
Many people thanked Jacob for his firewood service and mentioned they would be loyal customers. Where can you find Jacob's Firewood Hut? It's located on Highway 53, north of Cook Minnesota, just past the Highway 73 cut-off.
Jacob sells the firewood at a great price. $5 a bundle or $120 for a rick. You can reach him at 218-290-7446. Keep up the good work, Jacob. I'll be stopping by for some bundles next time I'm up North!
