The Superior Public Library has slowly began re-opening during the coronavirus pandemic. They had to close during the Governor's Stay At Home order, but starting this week they are doing library visits by appointment. How it works is you call ahead for an appointment and then you have one hour to browse through books or do whatever you need to at the library.

When you make the appointment they will ask you a few questions. You'll just need to provide them with your name, how many people that are coming with you, and if you will be requiring the use of a computer.

Apparently the first day went pretty well. They remind visitors to remain in the car when they get there until a staff member waves you in. Then be sure to practice social distancing by staying 6 feet a part from other people. You are not required to wear a mask, but they would really love it if you did.

They also would like you still to use the outdoor book drop for any returned items. That also includes DVDs, audiobooks, and music cds.) By doing this, they can then sanitize returned items to limit the chances of COVID-19 making it into the building on returned items.

You can reach the Superior Public Library and make an appointment by calling 715-394-8860 between 10am-5pm Monday through Friday. The library is located at 1530 Tower Avenue in Superior.
