New Steve Martin, Martin Short Tour Is Coming To Minnesota
Two comedy legends are returning to Minnesota, and if you're looking for a night of laugh-out-loud comedy, this is it.
They have since reinvented and renamed that show, keeping some of the popular bits while adding new material, and have kept touring the country, including several stops in Minnesota.
I've had the opportunity to see them twice in Minnesota, and both times proved to be a hilarious night out. Now, I'll admit that I grew a huge fan of both. I'd spend hours with headphones on listening to the Steve Martin stand-up records my dad would sneak me, with the promise that I wouldn't tell my mom. Then, through the years, my dad and I would later see every Steve Martin movie together.
As for Martin Short, while I did love 'Saturday Night Live' as a little kid (no, I never did watch age-appropriate things), I especially loved SCTV, and that is where I fell in love with his no-holds-barred style of comedy. I especially loved Jacki Rogers Jr. and Ed Grimley, who Short would later make famous when he joined SNL.
The two men became friends when they joined forces, along with Chevy Chase, for the cult classic 'Three Amigos', and that friendship continues to bring great success for both, with their live comedy tours and the award-winning show 'Only Murders In The Building'.

Now, Minnesotans have another chance to see the duo as they'll set to perform at a legendary venue that was built in 1921 and seats 2,579.
