Spaghetti Dinner At Duluth’s All American Club For Honor Flight Northland
Honor Flight Northland is an organization that takes Northland Vets on a memorial tour of Washington D.C.
Honor Flight Northland was created to honor veterans living in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin for all their sacrifices. Past war heroes are flown to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect on their memorials.
WWII vets are chosen first because so many WWII veterans are dying each day. So the time to express our thanks to these men and women of that war is running out. The All American Club is raising money so that no vets have to pay to go.
Some vets say it's the best day of their lives. There is a lot of emotion and a lot of awe. Some vets get to see how their country values their sacrifices. They get to see all the war memorials, and they can take a person with them. It costs $600 per person to send vets to Washington D.C. for their memorial tour trip.
The flight is open first to WWII vets then Korean and Vietnam vets and leaves May 13, 2022. Honor Flight Northland hopes to raise as much money as possible so that they can send as many vets as possible.
To raise money, the All American Club is having a spaghetti dinner at their All American Club building at 1931 West Michigan Street on April 9th from 3 pm to 7 pm and the cost per plate is $10 and is all tax-deductible. There is a silent auction as well to help raise money.
If you can't make it to the spaghetti dinner and would like to donate, you can send a check to the All American Club at 1931 West Michigan Street, Duluth, MN 55806. Make the checks payable to "Honor Flight Northland".
