We mentioned before about how Second Harvest was taking part in the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program which was created by the USDA. The program started in May to provide support to U.S. Farmers and maintain the integrity of the food supply chain. It also aimed to help ensure that people had access to food during COVID-19. According to a Second Harvest press release, the program will continue into August.

The next distribution is at Wessman Arena (2701 Catlin Ave) on the UWS Campus on July 8th, 2020 at 10:00 am. Other food distributions include Ashland on July 22nd and August 12th. There will also be a food distribution in Cook, MN on July 29th, and other locations are pending.

The CFAP program is available to anyone needing food assistance and there is no income or residency eligibility requirements. The only information that will be collected is the number of people in your household, along with your zip code. Be sure to drive a vehicle that can carry 3-4 boxes of food for your household. The distribution is in a drive thru, low contact environment. If you have questions, you can reach Second Harvest at 218-336-2312.
