Whether you like it or not, fall is right around the corner. That means cooler weather, scarves, pumpkin spice and all of the things that come with it. It also means corn mazes and the like open for the season.

Recently, the Haunted Shack shared that they are seeking volunteers for the big event this season. They will be open in October and are looking for people or groups of people to help out with the haunted attraction.

Of course, a big part of the Haunted Shack is the corn maze aspect of the attraction! There is also a haunted house itself and a hayride. I go every single year and I always get spooked. I can't wait for it to open.

While the haunted attraction opens in October, the Ru-Ridge Corn Maze will be open earlier so you can start to get your haunt on. The Ru-Ridge Corn Maze just shared some pretty exciting news!

According to a Facebook post on Thursday (August 11th), the corn maze will be opening in September this year. Their official opening date is Friday, September 9th. They also shared an update on this year's attraction, writing:

We are honoring our veterans and the freedoms they have given us. We have lots of exciting new additions this year. Can't wait to share it with everyone!

Based on the photo, it looks amazing! Ru-Ridge is a massive corn maze that spans eight acres. It is more than just part of the Haunted Shack - it has a corn pit, petting zoo, horse rides and more.

Ru-Ridge Corn Maze also offers fall-themed activities like pumpkin painting, hay rides and other family activities. Of course, you can also walk through it during Haunted Shack season if you dare.

Ru-Ridge Corn Maze is located 1781 County Road 1. The corn maze is family owned and operated so you are also supporting a local business when you attend. Each year, the corn maze has a different theme.Last year, the maze was a "support local" theme which was very timely as businesses struggled through the pandemic. Speaking of haunted attractions, the Haunted Ship is also stepping it up this year with some new and spooky props!
