Grandma's Marathon weekend registration is just a couple of weeks away. There are multiple races to compete in, and some new swag for certain runners as well!

Grandmas Marathon Weekend 2022 was a nice return to normal with higher participation numbers than previous years due to the pandemic. It was the first total sellout of the races since 2016.

Organizers expect the next Grandmas Marathon Weekend on June 17, 2023 to be busy and sell out as well. That's why they want to make sure you know that registration is on its way. If you register early you save money. For example for the Grandma's Full Marathon, if you register before October 15, you'll save $10. The price goes up to $130 after that. It's a similar price scale on all the races. So be sure to register early if you plan to attend. If you register by December 31st, you also have the option to order a commemorative Storm Creek jacket for $40.

Races for the weekend include the 9,000 capacity Grandma's Full Marathon, the 8,000 capacity Gary Bjorkland Half Marathon, and the 1,700 William A. Irvin 5k. All races are offering a virtual option as well.

Irvin 5k on Friday night, followed by either the full or half marathon the following day. There is seperate registration and pricing for the Great Grandma's Challenge. Those who complete the challenge also receive the other races finishing medals.

Another cool thing this year is to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the William A. Irvin 5k, all registered runners will receive a pair of commemorative Fitsocks.
