The Centers For Disease Control has expanded their nationwide recall of charcuterie meats that were sold at Sam's Club and Costco, including those located in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The recall has expanded due to a salmonella outbreak linked to the meats that now includes 22 states. To date, there have been 47 reported illnesses, including cases in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and 10 hospitalizations from the recalled products.

According to the Mayo Clinic, salmonella infection (salmonellosis) is a common bacterial disease that affects the intestinal tract. Salmonella bacteria typically live in animal and human intestines and are shed through stool (feces). Humans become infected most frequently through contaminated water or food.
