He also went viral on TikTok for his moving tribute to the Edmund Fitzgerald. Now he's back with another moving tribute of sorts: a song for his late uncle.

The song dropped on Tuesday (April 29th) and is called Dirt Road To Heaven. His uncle, Jim Carlson, passed away in January from glioblastoma brain cancer and Rafe penned the song about him as a way to carry on his legacy.

Rafe says the song is also special because it pays homage to the rest of his family and his childhood growing up in the Northwoods of Minnesota.

Of the song, Rafe says that it is all about 'remembering where you come from' and 'knowing that the road home and the road to heaven aren't all that different' and he hopes that shines through with this emotional tune.
