
Popular Family-Friendly Restaurant With 15 Minnesota + Wisconsin Locations Plans Closures
Another major restaurant chain has announced it's planning to close 70 locations across the United States. That accounts for 14% of their locations across the US. This news comes after other chains like Denny's, Wendy's, Perkins and others have closed underperforming locations.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc says they will be closing 70 locations within the next 5 years. When the underperforming restaurants' leases expire, they will shut them down. The company announced its North Star Plan to increase profits after a 39.7 million dollar loss in the 4th quarter of 2024.
The chain announced that up to 15 locations could close this year, with the rest in the next 5 years.

In a press release, Red Robin announced its North Star Plan to "drive long-term shareholder value."

Wisconsin has Red Robin Restaurants in Appleton, Brookfield, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Greenfield, Janesville, Kenosha, Madison, Monona, Oshkosh, and Wausau.

Inflation and rising labor costs have been hard on the restaurant industry. An average burger at the Eau Claire Red Robin location can cost between $16-22. The chain is offering rewards and incentives to it's 11 million rewards members.
