Stay Alert: Scammers Impersonating Wisconsin City Planners
As a somewhat new homeowner, I can say with all honesty that there is a lot of paperwork you sign and a lot of things you may not have thought about!
Whenever I get any sort of mail regarding my house, I always have to take a few minutes to figure out what it is for.

This could be tax forms or insurance forms or anything similar. Basically, there's a lot of paperwork that goes into buying and owning a home and there is a lot to keep track of. It can be confusing.
Now, a new scam has been reported in Wisconsin and since it already popped up in the state in one area, it could circulate soon. Let's dive in.
City Of Plymouth Hit With A New Scam - What To Know
There's nothing like a new scam to kick off the week. This scam has popped up in Plymouth, Wisconsin. City officials took to social media on Monday (March 30th) to warn locals about the scam and how it works.

According to their warning, this is a phishing scam, with scammers posing as members of the City Of Plymouth Planning Commission. I will say that the screenshot they shared looks pretty legitimate. I might fall for it!
The scam is relatively simple. Scammers are sending out fake emails to residents claiming that there are unpaid invoices under their name that need to be paid via wire transfer. Obviously, this is a scam and you won't be asked to pay any fees this way.
