This is my plea to advertisers: Please stop showing us your Super Bowl commercials before the super bowl.  It takes away from the big day.  This morning I saw a commercial for Melissa McCarthy's KIA Super Bowl ad that auto-played on my YouTube.  It was hilarious, it was funny, and it should have waited until Sunday!

Here's the reason:  I don't care about this game.  I really don't like either team, so the only way I can get pumped up about the game is for the commercials.  You ruin the Super Bowl if you leak your ad early.   It loses it's special appeal if it's not the first time we see it during the game.

So what can we do about it?   Well first, we can send feedback to the companies explaining that we aren't happy about seeing the Super Bowl ads ahead of time.  Twitter is a great place to make that happen.

Secondly, we need to stop sharing the YouTube videos of the commercials on Facebook.

Obviously, don't click and watch the video.   But sometimes they auto play, so you really need to watch what's coming up.
