Texas country star Pat Green and his family are desperately looking for their lost dog, Ugg. Austin's Statesman newspaper reports that the pup, affectionately known as Ugg the Pug, ran away from the singer in Jarrell, Texas, on Monday (April 17).

Fans of the singer have launched a social media campaign to track down the beloved pooch. Green's assistant Phil Crawford says Ugg escaped the car and took off when Green stopped at a Chevron filling station near Jarrell while traveling to Fort Worth from Austin.

"Pat chased after her as far as he could. She just got freaked out and ran," Crawford says, adding that Green is "devastated" about the situation.

Green's wife Kori also reached out to fans on her husband's official Facebook and Instagram pages, asking for their help in finding the family pet, who was a Christmas present to their son. Ugg has been accompanying her owner while he performs across the U.S.

The country star has several tour dates lined up in 2017 throughout the spring and summer across Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and other locations in the southeast. His latest album Home was released in 2015 and features appearances by Lyle Lovett and Sheryl Crow. It's inspired by Green's whirlwind experience signed to a record label and deciding to take some time off and spend it with his children.

“I had missed the first five months of my daughter’s life and I was like, ‘You know, I’m going home. You all are going to have to find me,'" he tells Taste of Country in a 2015 interview. “Right at the end (of his time with Sony Nashville) … I really just calmed down.”

Green released Home's latest single, "Day One," to Texas radio in May of 2016.
