Oddities And Curiosities Expo Makes A Minneapolis Stop
I recently saw an ad on Facebook for a Minneapolis event titled the "Oddities and Curiosities Expo". This caught my eye as I'm a fan of the strange and unusual. It turns out this traveling expo started in 2017 and makes several stops around the United States each year.
They say it's for lovers of the strange and unusual and 2019 is the first year it's making a Minneapolis stop. The expo will feature local and national vendors featuring items such as taxidermy, wet and dry preserved specimens, antiques, jewelry made from bones, artwork, skulls, and other creepy, strange, and bizarre items.
The expo will also feature a taxidermy class but tickets are limited for that so get them now if you are interested. It all happens on Saturday, June 1st at The Minneapolis Convention Center located at 1301 Second Avenue South. VIP early access tickets are $20 and you can get in an hour early at 10AM. Otherwise general admission is $10 and the doors for that open at 11AM. Kids 12 and under are free, so bring the whole family.
More information about pricing and other features at the expo can be found here.
