New Year’s Eve Celebration Returns To The DECC With Great Gatsby Theme
Many of us remember the New Year's Eve parties that took place at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. I was actually lucky enough to emcee one of the last ones they had here in Duluth. The whole community would get dressed up in their formal wear and come out for a fun celebration. Unfortunately, it's been a while since we've seen a party like that. The good news is there is one planned for this New Year's Eve.
Glamour & Gold - A Great Gatsby New Year's Eve will take place December 31st at the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center. It will take place at the picturesque Harbor Side Ballroom.
Event organizer Amber Brostrom growing up always wanted to attend the BIG NYE event that was hosted by St. Mary's back in the day. When she became of age, the party had stopped, so she decided to make her own.
There are two options for guests to experience Glamour & Gold.
Guests can purchase VIP tickets for $89. That include dinner, dessert, and early access to activities. VIP guests can arrive as early as 6 pm. Dinner will be served at 7 PM.
Here For The Party tickets are available for only $49. That allows guests to show up at 8 PM for games, dancing, and all the fun.
A portion of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Upper Midwest.
What to expect at the NYE Celebration:
VIP guests can arrive at 6 for cocktails and light appetizers. The Harbor Side ballroom will be decorated with opulent feather and pearl decor from floor to ceiling.
Dinner will be a crisp Waldorf Salad, bourbon-glazed ham or chicken with sides of asparagus and piped Boursin mashed potatoes.
Game tables will open at 8 PM. There also will be an Underground Vikre & Bent Paddle Speakeasy going on. Drinks and dancing will go all the way to New Year!
The Valley Youth Center will be providing sober rides for donations.
You can purchase your tickets at Glitterati Events.
