New Laundromat Opening Soon In Superior

I was running errands yesterday when I saw a new building under construction. Either I am blind, or they built this fast because I don't remember seeing it anytime this summer.

A big sign says Maytag Laundry, and it's located in East Superior. It's a block away from the Super One Harborview location and across the street from East End Hardware.

As of last summer, it was a vacant lot.

This isn't the first laundromat for Maytag in the Northland. They also have a Maytag Coin Laundromat at 1721 Tower, Avenue in Superior.

The laundromat looks nearly complete, and checking on Maytag's website, they say it's supposed to open in the summer of 2024. Given that Labor Day Weekend is already here, it's safe to say it should be opening soon.

The website also says the laundromat will have super large capacity washers and dryers, and you can watch television while you wait. They also will accept credit cards and debit cards with an ATM in the location. Security cameras and a well-lit atmosphere will help with safety. The Maytag Laundry will also have snack, soda, and laundry supply vending machines on site.

Another new laundromat in Superior will also open soon. Construction began last year on the Tumble Fresh Laundromat on Belknap in Superior. There also is a dogwash business in the same building, and a Noodles and Company opening soon on the shared lot.
