They even broke things down even further to name check the most misspelled word in each state to see where we need to brush up on things!

This was done for fun by Unscrambler, a website that scrambles and unscrambles words for its users. This was also done in honor of the National Spelling Bee, which is coming up at the end of the month.

Minnesota's most misspelled word makes sense. It can be a bit confusing but it is also so random! Why are we trying to spell this in the first place? Let's dive in.

Minnesota's Most Misspelled Word Is...An Instrument

Yup, according to this list, Minnesota's most misspelled word is ukulele! I have no idea why we are talking about ukuleles in the first place but here we are. This word does trip me up and spelling is one of my strong suits usually.

When I was writing this, I even spelled it wrong! It is a little tricky, especially if the instrument isn't exactly something you are familiar with. It wasn't what I thought it was going to be but this did make me a laugh a bit.

By the way, those that put together this study looked at data from the first of the year through mid-May. They looked at Google Trends data for 'how do you spell' and 'how to spell' and then took it from there.

As for America's most misspelled words as a whole, that is a whole other animal! Our number one most misspelled word? That would be bougie, which I have also been spelling wrong all this time. Other top misspelled words include favorite, through and business. Hmmm...
