A quick road work project will bring a closure to a busy road in Duluth on Wednesday, November 6 during the daytime hours.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers of the project that is planned for Morris Thomas Road at Highway 33.

While the roadway is closed, project engineers and work crews will replace a culvert that runs underneath the highway.  The replacement is part of a general maintenance program.

The actual work is expected to happen quickly, with an anticipated timeline for completion today.  MNDOT suggests that the closure will only last between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Drivers are asked to use caution and common sense when driving near this or any road construction project.  For more details about this road project or any of the highway work that occurs throughout the greater State of Minnesota, click here to visit MNDOT's online project portal.
