Minnesota Vikings Fans Need To Rally Behind The Other Team To Lose 4 Super Bowls
The Minnesota Vikings Cinderella story came to an end Sunday night. Yes, the Vikings had quite the year, but unfortunately, they couldn't beat the New York Giants, even with home-field advantage. The Vikings couldn't put together a final drive, and the Giants let the clock run down, beating Minnesota 31-24.
To be honest, I'm not even that upset about it. I really didn't think we had a chance to beat San Francisco at home anyway. This team found some creative ways to win, but this season they either won by one score or lost by 30 points.
Now, let's talk about the Buffalo Bills. That was a thrilling game Sunday versus the Miami Dolphins. The Bills were able to pull off the win and now advance in the playoffs. The Bills are America's team now, especially after what happened to Damar Hamlin.
Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest during Monday Night Football versus the Bengals. It was a very scary scene, with players surrounding him while medical personnel actually had to resuscitate him and use an AED to get his heart beating again.
The game was actually stopped and did not resume. That's never happened before. His distraught teammates looked heartbroken.
ESPN commentators were left speechless. Nobody knew what to do. We didn't even know if Hamlin was going to live.
Miraculously, he did live thanks to the quick response of the medical staff. The entire country came together with love for this player. His charity received millions of dollars in donations.
Now the Bills face the Bengals in the NFL Divisional Round. That's the same team that they were playing when the game was stopped. There's unfinished business there and a lot of emotion behind it. Is there anyone that's not a Bengals fan that won't be cheering for the Buffalo Bills?
Also, as a Minnesota Vikings fan, I feel like we can connect with Buffalo. They are hearty people too, dealing with massive snowfalls as we do. The Bills also have never won a Super Bowl, just like the Vikings. Both appeared 4 times and came home empty-handed each time. They are just like us, suffering each season with disappointment after disappointment. If we can't cheer for our under dogs, let's cheer for the Bills. In Josh Allen we trust.
