The Minnesota Timberwovles said their main priorities where re-signing Nikola Peković and Chase Budinger, while finding a top tier shooting guard to fill the void that they've had for years at that position.  Today, it appears that they've completed two of those goals.

USAToday.com is reporting that the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to terms with former Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Kevin Martin on a four-year contract that could be worth as much as $30 million.  Martin was one of the top free agents available at that position and the signing instantly makes the playoffs an expectation for the team next season.

Earlier in the day, the word was that Chase Budinger had agreed to a 3-year deal with the club, but neither of these deals can be formalized until the NBA free agency moratorium lifts on July 10.

Now, it's time to get Peković signed, which management expects to do, and Timberwolves fans can anxiously await the start of the new season.
