The Minnesota State Fair is less than two months away and this year you can expect a large selection of free entertainment.

With over 900 shows and 100 different acts, you'll surely be able to find something to watch while you chow down a bucket of mini donuts. All the free entertainment will be spread around the fairgrounds and the seven stages.

Highlights of this year's free entertainment include the Minneapolis quartet Yam Haus on September 5th and 6th, members of the eighties band Dire Straits on August 26th and 27th, 'We Are Family' singers Sister Sledge on August 28th and 29th, and Roots & Boots featuring Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye on September 3rd and 4th. All these acts will play the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Tonight stage.

The North Woods area of the fair will feature All-Star Stunt Dogs Splash and Timberworks Lumberjack Show, and of course the daily parade at 2 PM features floats, special guests and the State Fair High School Marching Band Exhibition.
