Minnesota Is One Of The Greenest States In America
Minnesota is killing it these days, at least in terms of studies bestowing honors on the Land Of 10,000 Lakes! This time, Minnesota gets a title that would make anyone proud.
Minnesota Will Make You Green With Envy
In a new study put out by WalletHub on Wednesday (April 10th), Minnesota was named the sixth greenest state in the country. That is pretty impressive if you ask me.
We were only beat out by a handful of states, including California, New York and Vermont. Cracking the top ten is pretty good and hopefully, we can keep rising up the ranks.
Why Did Minnesota Do So Well?
WalletHub looked at a variety of factors and Minnesota really stood out in more than one way! Minnesota has the very best soil quality, coming in at number one. Wisconsin also tied Minnesota for first place here.

Other factors this study took into consideration include air quality, water quality, renewable energy consumption, energy consumption per capita and gas consumption per capita.
What About Wisconsin?
Don't fret. Wisconsin came in at number twenty on this list, which isn't bad at all. I don't think of either state as being particularly green but looking at this study, it does all make sense.

States like Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana are in the bottom part of this study. The very worst state at being green, so to speak? Randomly enough, that would be West Virginia.
