Minnesota Makes The List For Safest States
There's a new study that's been done by WalletHub that ranks the safety of the US States. They used criteria such as road safety, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, financial safety, and residential safety. Vermont topped the list, but Minnesota wasn't far behind.
The top 5 states for safety were:
- Vermont
- Main
- Minnesota
- Utah
- New Hampshire
It's also worth noting that Wisconsin came in at 12th on the list. Not bad!
What were the worst states? Dead last was Mississippi. Also near the bottom were Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida.
Some of those coastal states scored lower because of the occurrence of hurricanes and flooding that have had a devastating impact on public safety.
