Longtime Minnesota Harley-Davidson Dealer Now Going Out Of Business
Some businesses are in an area for so long that they become part of the fiber of the community. The staff becomes good friends with customers and everyone grows accustomed to seeing them at their familiar location.
You don't expect businesses like this to close their doors, but sometimes, things change, and businesses begin to struggle and ultimately need to make a tough decision.
That is what is currently happening with a Minnesota business that has been serving its community and beyond for more than 73 years.
Harley-Davidson Sports Center Makes A Surprise Announcement
On Monday, December 16, Harley-Davidson Sports Center, located at 4355 Stebner Road in Hermantown, Minnesota announced that it would be closing.
The business made an announcement on Facebook that began, "For more than 73 years, the Kachelmyers and the dedicated staff of Harley-Davidson Sport Center have been blessed to provide the Twin Ports communities with Harley-Davidson motorcycles, service, parts, and apparel. Our passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the people, and experience has led us to share a lifetime of immeasurable joy and excitement, doing what we love doing every day!"
However, it goes on that say that due to current 'challenging economic times', they are sadly making the difficult decision to close its doors and wind down the business.

The owners note that the regular business activity has ended, and they are now in the process of winding down their pre-existing business, including existing special orders, layby, service work orders, and remaining inventory, including motorcycles.
Anyone with a Harley-Davidson Sport Center Gift Card can redeem it at their location for existing merchandise or they can request a refund.
