Minnesota Named The Fourth Best State
This is a pretty general statement but I won't complain! Minnesota was just named the fourth best state overall in a new list put out by U.S. News & World Report.
Minnesota Is The Best!
Well, the fourth best. We were beat out only by Utah, which came in at number one, and a handful of other states, including New Hampshire and Nebraska. Those are some pretty random states.
Minnesota came in at number four in this new report. If you're reading this from the Land Of 10,000 Lakes, you don't need me to tell you why we are so great.

Why Is Minnesota So Great?
If you aren't from Minnesota and just don't get it, we have you covered. While there are many things that make Minnesota so great, this report in particular looked at things like our education and health care systems, infrastructure and more.

Minnesota scored high in most areas, including the following:
- #2 in Natural Environment: This includes air and water quality and pollution, meaning we score well in those areas at the moment.
- #7 in Fiscal Stability: We did well in terms of both short-term and long-term fiscal stability.
- #9 in Infrastructure: We got high marks when it came to our transportation system, energy and internet access.
Making The Rankings
The U.S. News & World Report looked at more metrics than just the ones mentioned! They looked at 71 different metrics across all eight categories. This just shows how great Minnesota really is.

As always, you have to take every study with a grain of salt. After all, there is always a study coming out saying one thing or another. It's great to have titles like this but it's just for fun!
